One Shoe Records bring you an exclusive lathe cut pressing of the The Guest Room single release Call Me (feat. Mason Rice) 45rpm (Colour: White).

Created in a piecemeal fashion due to quarantine restrictions. This track marks the first time our group has recorded a track remotely and in isolation from one another. Certain sounds and instruments were specifically chosen to give the song a “phone call feel.” Call Me, comes at a time where we all desire a little more human interaction; right now, picking up the phone might be the best way.

The Guest Room are a Southern California based NeoSoul and Alternative R&B group of four instrumentalists comprised of childhood friends. Their eclectic musical influences and tastes culminate to create the unique sound they love to share with their audiences. This project marks an inflection point for the group as they explore collaborations with local singer/songwriters. This track with collaborator Adison Rice is one of many to come and The Guest Room is excited to share their new and refined sound.

Some of their main influences include: Hiatus Kaiyote, Vulfpeck, Fleetwood Mac, Jamiroquai, The Free Nationals, and Kali Uchis.
